I live at this corner and can vouch for the bad condition of the asphalt. At the large pothole nearest the sidewalk (pictured) there seem to be underlying problems with water, which in warm weather flows up from a covered vertical pipe that terminates at street level; the cover is now gone, leaving a hole. I hope the underlying condition can be addressed before any repaving takes place.
A lot of the streets need to be repaved but they will never do it, the last couple of years they wasted a lot of time and money on St Paul St and that turned out to be a joke! They could have used the money elsewhere but miro thinks his projects are more important like his great streets project! I cant see the 2 blocks on St Paul as being needed and so great!
I would also appreciate Spruce Court getting paved. It is a very small street, so it is easy to forget that it too needs to tending. We have a pothole that is so big and consistently filled with water that we have dubbed it "Spruce Court Pond". The street is definitely ready for some paving.
Dear Burlington Street Maintenance Manager, while I appreciate the quick response the city had to my request, I would not consider the pothole and street condition as "resolved." It is a first step, at best. There are still a number of open potholes (at least six) and the street pavement is in poor condition.
