I believe see click is an excellent app that has allowed the city and its constituents to be able to "work off the same game plan". See Click is a TOOL to help gather, and resource manage all of the necessary upkeep required of a city. Its an app/tool to let all the citizen eyes that see the "today" issues, report them to help get them resolved before they become "tomorrow" problems.
See Click is N O T designed to be a community gripe page...citizens should attend their city hall meetings, send an email or call the mayors office for those. This app is a TOOL that many people misuse and then complain about. You cant use a hammer on a nut/bolt, then complain that the hammer is a useless tool.
I don't believe that run off of water to the extent pictured above is anything anyone should have in a developed area. That is not "meaningless bull $*#&". Whether it is heavy rain or light rain, the water dripping or gushing will erode that entire side of that burm, which is holding up the parking lot onto the street. Moose lodge and the city need to address this now while it might just be a matter of redirecting, pitch correction, or maybe just a clogged drain.
Malden Machine, i don't see how this issue being reported is a problem against "you"...this had nothing to do with you. I am actually a supporter/client of your business (you machined, cleaned and assembled a set of heads/valves for me). If you have had other complaints against you, those are independent from this. I disagree with grouping it all into one thing and saying its all terrible.
Anonymous - you seem to have a chip on your shoulder about "insert any topic here i can complain about"...please reread my suggestion on how see click is just a tool, and city hall meetings and the mayors office is where you would best be served to direct your complaints.
Finally - if homeowners (or local business) are being fined for ordinance infractions...DONT DO THINGS THAT ARE AGAINST THE ORDINANCES and you wont be fined!! IF you disagree with an ordinance, see click is NOT the place that will change the system for you. Talk to your city councilor or Mayor's office. Explain why you believe the ordinance is out of date, impractical, or simply wrong. Get the ordinance changed, or ask for an exemption.
We live in a community, with laws and standards. As constituents, we vote on who is in power and what laws and standards govern us. in stead of being worried about whats happening on everyone's else's side of the fence, make sure your fenced in area is squared away and conforming. Be aware that the city is also managing as best it can with resources in place to prioritize which issues get attention first. IS it a perfect system?...no, of course not, but thats ok, this see click app is an effort towards making it as good as can be.
If you dont like the app, dont get on it to complain about it, cause it's like hitting a nut/bolt with a hammer: your making a lot of distracting noise and not being productive.

who i am is irrelevant... I made no comment about anyone being annon....your confusing me and the other poster. I have the same rights as we all do...no more, no less and made no allusions otherwise. As for the chip - questioning my right to post seems to support an interest in venting about "insert whatever topic" rather than contributing to resolving a water shed issue.
Having addressed those points, I tried to make a point of what see click's intended use is, which seems to have been lost from the reply (hammer?). This issue was created to point out a big water shed issue so the city can make an effort to address it. Nothing political, nothing about someone having more or less rights, no one worrying about who someone is, nothing about Salem st, or parking issues...nothing about see click and homeowners or city favorites. That's all noise detracting from this specific water shed runoff location/issue. Aaaaallllllllll the other issues mentioned - please feel free to create a see click issue for those.
See click is a to do list...thats it. Not a forum for policy debate.

If anyone takes a look at the picture, some points of interest:
1 - there is so much fast water flowing, its actually whitewater, and cascading.
2 - theres is a retaining wall that will clearly not tolerate that kind of erosion force
3 - there are large rocks that are being uncovered from the erosion, directly about a heavy use sidewalk and roadway
4 - there is a tree that is leaning (water eroding the root soil) over a POWER LINE, sidewalk and roadway.
5 if there is this volume of runoff, how much is seeping under the sidewalk and roadway, covertly eroding, threatening to impact not only a major traffic artery, but any buried utilities, which could be catastrophic for business's and residences alike?
